Nest display is not showing red flame when hot water schedule is supposed to be on

Hi,

I have a Nest connected to a system boiler and hot water cylinder. The settings in the Pro Setup reflect this and I believe have always reflected this since it's been set up. Over the past few months, I've noticed a few things when the hot water schedule turns on:

  1. There is no red flame symbol on the Nest display anymore - there used to be to signify that the hot water was heating up but it's no longer showing. Is this normal or should I be seeing the red flame symbol?
  2. We get hot water from one shower for 5-10 minutes before it cools rapidly and the next person in the shower gets barely lukewarm water. It's as if the boiler isn't replenishing the hot water in the cylinder despite the hot water schedule being on for over 1.5 hours. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm on software version 5.9.5-2.

I've tried restarting the Nest, enabling/disabling the hot water schedule, and deleting all the hot water schedules and then adding them back in. But no luck so far.

Any help you can give to clarify point 1 and even point 2 would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

ss

Hi there @ss_tim,

Thanks for reaching out. You can check on the thermostat's settings > Equipment > Continue > Pro Setup > Hot water > On/Off. Let me know what you see in htere please.
