Nest e set up

Frustrated setting up nest app. Cannot proceed - get message choose the number that matches your thermostats display but there are no options/ screen is blank. Thermostat is working/connected etc

It sounds like you've put in a lot of effort to set up your thermostat, and I appreciate your patience. Sometimes a fresh start can help. Here are some steps you can follow to set up your thermostat a different way.
 

  1. On your Nest thermostat, press the ring to open the Quick View menu.
  2. Select the Settings icon.
  3. Turn the ring to select the Nest app option and press to open it.
  4. Select QR code. Your thermostat will display a unique QR code.
  5. In the nest app home screen, tap Settings (gear icon).
  6. Tap Add product.
  7. The app will switch to a camera view. Scan the QR code displayed on your thermostat.

Scanning the QR code on the screen will bypass the need to enter any code manually. Ensure your thermostat is powered on and connected to your home's Wi-Fi network before proceeding.
