Nest early on

Saeko
Community Member

I don’t see anywhere on any websites or anything that people have posted saying if early on saves energy or not I’m trying to make this the most energy efficient in settings why’s that I can because I live in Florida and it’s constantly near 100 degrees outside and they raise the electric prices twice already so I’m trying to save some money and I think my air conditioner has something to do with it. I have most of my settings supposedly saved to save money but it doesn’t tell me about this one issue.

Hello @Saeko.

Thanks for reaching out. You can learn more about Early-On here. There are also some tips, which can be found here, to help you improve energy savings with your Nest thermostat.

Hope that helps! 🙂

Hi Saeko,

Thanks for getting back to us.  Your thermostat can switch to Eco Temperatures when no one’s home to help you save energy. When you choose energy-efficient Eco Temperatures setting, it will prevent your home from wasting energy while everyone is gone. The more efficient your Eco Temperatures are, the more you’ll save. But, but be sure not to set your Eco Temperatures too low or too high if you have pets, plants, or delicate items in your home. The Nest Leaf is an easy way to know you’re saving energy, and it encourages you to continually improve your savings over time. You’ll find the Leaf on your thermostat when you set a temperature that helps save energy. The more often the Leaf appears, the more you save. Let us know if you have other questions or concerns.

Regards,

Emerson
