Do you have multiple devices on your Nest App? What error did you see when it failed to connect from your app?

Hi there,
Thanks for posting in the Google Nest Community forum. Doing an Account Connection reset will help you to refresh your Nest Thermostat connectivity. I suggest doing it first before you add your thermostat to the app.
