The Nest says it is heating but furnace doesn't turn on. Didn't have the problem with this last year so not sure why I am having issues this heating season.
I get no error message and when I test the heating system at the display, it just sends me to a website www.nest.com/t04.
This website doesn't really help me.

Welcome to NEST, this is the second year in a row that the Nest Thermostat has not worked when switching from cool to heat.

Having the same issue - the old (dumb) thermostat worked fine for years, then stopped. You hear the heat turn on, but the blower motor never engages. I installed the Nest 3rd gen, and it recognizes the three components - power, heat, fan. The weird thing is that if you test each separately, (sometimes) they work. but never together. Even stranger, is once it thinks it's heating, it shows the fan as active when it is not.
I've gone through the entire wiring, board, connection options, and I cannot find a cause for it.

I am having the same issue with 3rd generation Nest Thermostat. It was working well last year. Currently, the AC is working, but heat is not. I have jumped the w and r wires at the thermostat and at the furnace. This triggers the furnace to work.
It's a faulty thermostat. I have also bought new one (same 3rd generation model) and plugged in and it's working fine.
Any input from Google Nest towards fixing the faulty thermostat or getting refund is appreciated. Unfortunately it's just past 12 months, so not sure if the factory warranty is still applicable.
