Nest learning thermostat app

Question I just got nest learning thermostat and when doing process with setup in app I get through most of it connects to Wi-Fi but at the point where it says where is device located I can scroll but when I check one it just locks up and I can’t do anything else from this point force close app to finish set op and happens again. Even deleted device from account and tried fresh but always get sticks at that one step   Any help would be appreciated since main reason was to control temp from app thanks

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry for the trouble this may have caused you in adding your Nest Thermostat to the Nest app.

We're aware of this issue, and our team is working on a fix. In the meantime, please give these steps a try and let me know if they work.

1. Reopen the Nest app.
2. Restart your Nest Thermostat by pressing and holding its screen for 10 seconds until it shuts down to refresh.
3. Proceed by adding it to the Nest app.
   1. If it gets stuck on a specific page, wait for 3-5 minutes for the app to respond and continue the prompt.
