What model of thermostat do you have? It sounds like you're referring to the light on your heat link not on the thermostat display itself?

Google has a good article to help you troubleshoot this which I'll link below.

This issue has to be known by Google, if you spot my thread, and others regarding the same or similar issues you will notice there is a common theme with all the responses, and that is to ignore your questions. No actual help. I found a few more on Reddit saying the same things, and the comments are mostly about the absolute lack of any concern from Google.

In talking with a couple AC techs here in the Phoenix area, they both said that these thermostats are well known to them to fail frequently and they do not recommend them.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for the input, @David_K

@missyxcle and @STEVE_SZY, I appreciate you posting and trying some possible steps you can find on the web. Let's sort this out.

To isolate:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • From what country are you posting?
  • Are the power breakers on, and do you receive power to your home?
  • Is the thermostat's display seated properly?
  • Are all the wires of your thermostat seated firmly in its terminals (with no loose or exposed wires)?
  • Does the thermostat charge with a USB cable?
    • Did it turn On?
  • Does it have a C-wire installed?
    • If so, remove the Common wire and leave it disconnected. Then put the display back on its base.

Note: Turn off the power from your HVAC system at the breaker box first before touching the wire.

Keep me posted on how it goes.

Regards,
Mark

My thread on this.

I have no time to keep messing with this. I already wasted more time than necessary for a thermostat.

I do not have a C-wire adapter, My line voltage was in the correct range before I bought this. None of my concerns are addressed. I just want my money back.

ARRANGE FOR A REFUND

I don't want this thing. I regret buying it. It was a waste of money.
