Nest learning thermostat on Trane xv95

The nest seems to be working, the wiring picture on the Nest looks correct and a heating test was successful. However after my purchase I found on Google that the proprietary Trane furnaces don't work with the nest. This is a heating only system. Am concerned damage to the furnace is possible. The old thermostat was a Honeywell RTH658WF and I copied it's wiring to the Nest. Possibly notably there was a jumper on the Honeywell between R and RC. Since all the connections were with double wires I split them on the Nest to both R and RC.

Nest Thermostats don't use jumper wires, so they shouldn't be connected. Don't enter it into the app to check compatibility or get a wiring diagram.
