Thermostat is connected to WiFi, Is unable to connect to my phone. I am holding my phone about 2 inches away and I get a message it cannot connect. My remote access stopped working this past winter when I was in Arizona. It has worked for the past 2 years when there.

What kind of phone and did you restart your phone?  My Android is doing many things it should not, and things disappear.

1. Your remote access to what?  Wi-Fi or Thermostat?

2. Log into your router and see who is connecting to the wife and at what speed.  2.4G or 5G.

3.  Are there any other issues with your Wi-Fi in the house other than the thermostat

  • Make sure that you have the latest version of the Nest app.
  • Restart your Nest thermostat, go to settings, choose reset, and then restart
  • Restart your router and modem.
  • Check the settings on your Wi-Fi router or access point.
