Nest learning thermostat

I’m not pleased with my purchase regarding this device. I’m a HVAC technician and have 35 plus years of experience. I purchased my thermostat through Home Depot, I made sure it was compatible with my system functions prior to purchasing it, after installing this device the last perimeters of the heat pump side it will not allow me in to change those settings without a pro installation number, what a farce into trying to have to attain this. I guess more folks that purchase this T-stat should be aware of prior to the relatively of this happening. Any help would certainly be appreciated in resolving this matter.

We value your expertise and I appreciate you keeping up with the Nest Learning Thermostat. I understand that some settings of it require a Nest Pro installation for some users who have an advanced HVAC system. But I wanted to confirm: can you share with us the HVAC's make and model? Also, have you had a chance to finish the setup as a home owner to see if it works?
