Nest not controlling hot water

I’ve recently moved into a house with a nest system so just getting used to it. For some reason we are unable to get the hot water to turn on via the nest through a schedule or through boosting on the app or thermostats but are able to get heating just fine. If we want hot water we manually have to trigger it on the boiler system which is really frustrating. I’ve checked the link between the app and the heat link and it’s sending a signal for both heating and hot water but we still not to getting hot water. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked your motorised valve? You may be blaming the Nest, but have a look at your system first.

Users often blame the thermostat before checking everything!

How do you check this? It was working up until I connected the hot water via the thermostat so presumed it was the thermostat.

A plumber would be your best bet, as you need to confirm the valve is working correctly.

Manual operation overides the valve, hence the water coming on as you describe, but if a faulty valve then could be the issue. This has been talked about dozens of times on here, have you searched the forum for answers?
