Hi there, I'm having a hard time connecting a whole home dehumidifier and a two wire boiler system into a nest gen 3.
My wiring is as follows
For the boiler it is connected to RH and W1 (this works great)
For the whole home dehumidifier I have the fan connected to y1, the power connected to RC, a 24 volt common to the C and the dehumidification function to the *
I am unable to test because of a nest safety function that prevents testing the dehumidification because the outside temperature is 38° where I live. When I turn down the humidity setting all the way down to the minimal humidity droplet level, the dehumid. system still doesn't fire up. To troubleshoot it I ran the dehum function to y1 and the system fired up right away.
Upon further testing, the system is sending 24 volts however back at the dehumidifier it's only receiving 13 volts back from the nest in the circuit. Is there something wrong with the nest connection plate where * doesn't work?
What are my options?
Thanks in advance!
