Nest not turning on

When I hooked everything up and connected it to the base the light on top is blinking orange then green

A few questions: What type of Nest thermostat do you have? What is the make and model of your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment? Are the power breakers on, and do you receive power to your home? Is the thermostat's display seated properly? Are all the wires of your thermostat seated firmly in its terminals (with no loose or exposed wires)? Lastly, does the thermostat charge with a USB cable?
