Nest off-line while out of town

I am out of town.  My Nest temperature   Nest says offline.  Does the heat stay on in this condition?

If you use any kind of a schedule, or if the system was left in a heating or cooling mode with a specified setpoint, the system will continue to operate we even when it’s off-line from the Internet

Thanks,  I have it set at “out of town” at 56 degrees, so it looks like I’m ok.
