My Next suddenly stopped working. It says Cool Delay and then 4+ hrs. Is this a thing with my Next or my air conditioner?
Thanks for any help. It is 100* outside & the house is now at 84*

Hi there folks,
Thanks for reaching out to our community.
The hardest part about AC or furnace delays is figuring out the cause in the first place. But don't worry, let's troubleshoot and get your cooling back on track.
Nest thermostats need a consistent power supply to control your system properly. This power is typically shared through some of the thermostat's wires.
It would be helpful to know if your current thermostat has a C wire installed. This wire eliminates the need to share power through other wires and makes it the sole source of power for the thermostat.
If your system has trouble delivering enough power to your thermostat a delay on the heating or cooling activation may happen, it doesn't necessarily mean there's a problem with your HVAC system itself. However, it's still a good idea to have a technician check it out.
Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Angel.
