Nest scheduling minimum heating periods 1 hour?

I've been trying to set our heating to come on for 30 mins in the morning.

I looked at the instructions and have discovered the minimum time is 1 hour.

Is there a way around it?

Is Google unaware of the cost of energy at the moment?

I installed Nest as a more sophisticated kind of heating control compared to our basic previous set-up, this is a serious hindrance to saving money.
