We recently bought and had installed the Google Nest thermostat Model GA02083-US for our Airbnb. Many hosts with Airbnb rave about Nest thermostats and say they are super convenient and work great. We are unable to disable the Nest automatically turning to Away/Eco mode. It will randomly switch to Eco mode/Away when someone doesn't walk near the thermostat for a while which is a problem during the night as the thermostat is located in the living room and normal people sleep in the bedrooms. I want to only control the thermostat manually either via the app or with the thermostat. I would be fine with completely deleting the Eco setting but that isn't an option on the Google Home app. This device is annoying and confusing and if issues aren't resolved I will likely return it and use the original thermostat or find a more user friendly smart thermostat. Does anyone have any advice???
