Nest themostat not picking up home wifi

Hi 

My Nest thermostat will not connect to my home WiFi or actually even show up on wireless connections. This happened whilst on holiday so has been ikea this for about 4 weeks . Anyone have any ideas ? I have done the obvious of turn off router restarting.....restarted the nest but it will still not pick up on the home WiFi. Any advice would be freatly appreciated

A few questions — what specific Nest thermostat is this? Have you tried setting it up on another WiFi network or a mobile hotspot? Also, are you getting a message or a code on your thermostat's display?
