Nest Thermostat will not connect to Wi-Fi

My Nest Learning Thermostat will not connect to the home Wi-Fi. I am able to connect to the thermostat with the Nest app on iOS. I've tried resetting and updating all network hardware, manually entering the network info, rebooting and resetting the thermostat. No error codes, just the message about not finding a network. I've tried all the online troubleshooting. What's left to do?

Sorry to hear about what's going on with your Nest Learning thermostat. I want to dig deeper into this. 

 

A few questions — has this thermostat worked on this same WiFi network before? If yes, were there recent changes made on the actual thermostat or your WiFi network before this started happening? Also, have you tried connecting it to another WiFi network or to your phone's mobile hotspot?

Yes. The unit connected to the Wi-Fi, but it has been some time since it has. There have not been any network changes in over 2 years and the unit does not detect any wireless networks so connecting to a phone will not work. Thanks for your suggestions.

Thanks for the reply and we're sorry for the delay.

 

We'd like to further isolate what's going on by trying to connect it to a different Wi-Fi network. We could use your mobile phone's hotspot if there's no other Wi-Fi router available. Also, you could reset your Nest Thermostat network and see how it goes.

As mentioned in my previous reply the unit does not recognize any wi-fi networks so connection to a phone or other hotspot is not possible. I did a reset this weekend and the issue of not finding wi-fi networks persists.

I’m in the US. The thermostat is probably over 2 years old and was purchased from Lowes. Thanks.

Hello team. My name is George Stephan. I live in US. Bought nest thermostat from Home Depot. It does not connect to my Wi-Fi at home. We have tried several times. Please help
