We had this problem after buying a refurbished Nest.  It just would not connect to the internet.  Finally, we recharged the Nest battery (usb plug in).  It easily connected after being fully charged.  Might be worth a try.

Hi folks,

I'm sorry to hear about the issues that you're having when trying to set up your Nest thermostat. I'm happy to help.

Thanks for posting @ReluctantLandlo. I'm glad that you were able to successfully connect your thermostat to your Wi-Fi network after charging it manually. If there’s anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

@GYAX, I appreciate you've tried to find a fix. How's your thermostat? Are you stuck on the set-up page? If so, try skipping the Nest App and Internet part during the process and continuing with the other prompts until you reach "Finish set up." Once finished, give these steps a try:

  1. Go to Settings > Network. Reconnect to your W-Fi network.
  2. Then, back to Settings > Nest App. QR code or Entry Key.
  3. Open the Nest App and add the product. Check out this guide.

Let me know if that helps.

Best regards,

Mark

Hi GYAX,

I'm checking back in. Were you able to do the steps above? I'd be glad to hear from you — I'd like to make sure everything is working.

Best regards,

Mark
