Nest thermostat & Apple Home

Hi is it possible to add my Nest thermostat as a device on the Apple Home app and control Nest with my Apple Watch?

You can only add/control it via Google Home with the Nest Thermostat (mirror display). As for adding it to Apple home. I believe the process is complicated based on my research.
