I just bought a second nest thermostat was my house zonal AC system.
I’ve linked the thermostat with my wifi but the nest app shows the new thermostat but it says the thermostat is unassigned and I need to finish set up.
when I go through the steps it asks me to select a room where the thermostat is and a blue check mark appears then the app pages freezes and there are no more steps.
i have to close out of the app to navigate to any place else.
has anyone experienced this? Google offers no human support. Frustrating

I’m having the same issue with the app freezing when I enter where the thermostat is located, during setup.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the trouble this has caused you. Please try to reinstall your Nest app and proceed with the setup. If the issue persists, wait on the frozen screen for 5 minutes or more, until the page goes through.

I was having the same problem. I sat on the screen for almost 5 minutes, and as you said, it finished setup. The app should have a pop up with this info. I wasted a lot of time resetting the thermostat, uninstalling the app, and restarting my phone. The app failed at the same screen every time.
