Nest thermostat beeping and touch sensor issues

The google thermostat won't stop beeping as it keeps toggling between the home screen and the selection screen.  When I try to mess with it, it seems like the touch sensor is having issues too. I've tried restarting and even did a factory reset but not sure what is causing it to keep toggling the menus and beeping. Any one else run into this issue? Thanks

Not being able to control your thermostat is certainly not what you expect, but let's see what is going on so you can control your temperature as soon as possible.

Can you let me know which specific type of thermostat you have? I assume because you mentioned a touch sensor that it could be a Nest thermostat and that you control through the Google Home app, however, knowing which one specifically you have would be great.

Is your Thermostat new or has it been working for some time? I'd appreciate it if you could make sure that there isn't any type of stain or damage in the Nest Thermostat touch sensor that could make it so it's not able to detect your finger properly. It would be great to let me know if you're able to control it through the Nest app or Google Home app as well. If you happen to notice any type of damage to the thermostat please share it so we can determine the best course of action.
