No entry key internet problem

Hi

i have 3 nest thermostat 

one of them  stopped working so I removed it and reinstalled it . Can’t get entry key . Keeps sayi internet issue. But that can’t be as  the other thermostats are are working with the app 😖

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear that you are having this situation with the Nest Thermostat that is not connecting to your app. But don't worry, I can help. In this case, I just need to ask for some information to better assist you:

 

  • Which Nest Thermostat are you trying to connect?
  • Which app are you using for setup?

I understand that you are having this situation with the WiFi connection on your Nest Thermostat, please check this:

 

  1. Make sure your internet service is working
  2. Check your app version
  3. Restart your Nest thermostat 
  4. Restart your router and modem
  5. Check the settings on your Wi-Fi router or access point

About the entry key, please first connect the Nest Thermostat to the WiFi network and then follow the instructions to find it:

 

  1. Press your thermostat’s ring to open the Quick View menu.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Turn the ring to Nest app and press the ring to select it.
  4. Select Get Entry Key to retrieve a unique entry key.
