Nest thermostat changes the temperature setting by itself to 60F

How do I stop my Nest thermostat from changing the temperature setting by itself? I followed the instructions I found here such as turning off Home/Away Assist and Auto-Schedule, and resetting the Temperature Schedule but these ideas did not solve my problem.

Hi @Gary18,

Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I understand your Nest thermostat continues to automatically set itself to 60 degrees, even after you've disabled smart settings and reset the schedule. I appreciate that you've already taken those troubleshooting steps. No worries, help is here!

To provide the most accurate information and the right steps, I’d like to ask for the following information:

In the meantime, I'd suggest checking your Energy History to see if any features are causing these unexpected temperature changes. For reference, you can check out this article: Thermostat Energy History.

I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
