Nest thermostat connectivity

Keeps losing connection. Can only get it to reconnect if I do a restart on thermostat. But it will lose connection again after about one hour. Need help!!

Hi folks,

 

@saander78, thanks for posting here in the Community forum, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. Please answer the following: 

 

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • Can your thermostat find other Wi-Fi networks?
  • How far away is the thermostat from the router?
  • Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the thermostat?

 

Also, please gather the thermostat's power readings under Settings > Technical Info > Power (Battery, VOC, VIN, and lIN) if you have the Nest Learning Thermostat or the Nest Thermostat E, and Settings > Equipment > Power Info (VIN, IIN, PS-*) if you have the Nest Thermostat 2020.

Hello saander78, 

 

Thanks for getting back to us. Do you see any messages on your thermostat or on the app? If you have the Nest Learning Thermostat or the Nest Thermostat E, go to Settings > Network, then to Settings > Network if you have the Nest Thermostat 2020, or you may kindly check the Google Home app.
