Nest thermostat conversion from Ecobee (PEK)

I am converting from Ecobee to Nest but I need to better understand the PEK wire. It appears that it is the “Y” wire according to the diagrams. Is this in fact the case? Do I insert it into the “Y” slot since the Nest doesn’t have a “PEK” slot?

Hi @Thall1071,

Thanks for posting in the community. I understand you're converting your thermostat from Ecobee to Nest and are looking for guidance on the wiring, especially concerning the PEK. Getting the wiring right is crucial for a smooth transition.

To help me better understand your current setup and provide the most accurate guidance for your Nest Thermostat installation, could you please provide two pictures?

  1. A picture of your old Ecobee thermostat's wiring setup before you disconnected any wires.
  2. A picture of your furnace control board's wiring terminals. This will show us where the thermostat wires are currently connected at your furnace.

These images will give us a much clearer picture of your specific wiring configuration and help us ensure the correct connections for your new Nest Thermostat.

Regards,

Kevin
