I've had my Nest thermostat for 11 months with no issues. However, for the past few days, my AC is constantly cycling on and off. I've put in fresh batteries, the air filter is clean, the wires aren't loose, and I've gone so far as to do a factory reset to no avail. It does keep the proper temperature but every time it turns on, it cycles on and off every few seconds. After a minute it will stay on until the temperature is reached, then shuts off.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

@Gadget63 , this could be a problem with your outdoor unit. If the outdoor coil is dirty or other block air, or the outdoor condenser fan is not running, your compressor will trip the high pressure limit switch. Have you checked the outdoor unit? You could be experiencing a low voltage problem.

So I had an HVAC tech come out and change out a faulty capacitor, and the unit still runs fine and is cool, however, the unit still cycles on and off and I was told it is a faulty thermostat. Any ideas what to do next?

@Gadget63 , go to your Nest Thermostat and go to SETTINGS > TECHNICAL INFO > POWER. Get a screen shot so we can see the power status. It will look like this :
