Nest thermostat display stuck on the google "G" screen

Cannot reboot, reconnect nest thermostat to the internet.  Screen on device only shows the Google G logo. Ring on the device does not respond.  So can't go through reconnect steps.

Hey Cindyc01234,

Sorry to hear about your experience with your thermostat but thanks for posting.

Quick question — what type of Nest thermostat is this? Also, based on your description, it seems that it is frozen. Could you try the suggested steps here in order to have it manually restarted: https://bit.ly/3moipVu?

Keep me posted.

Best,

See my reply above. Not happy about having to buy an expensive replacement thermostat.  Who knew these only last 5 years! 😞

So, relying to the emails that you get, doesn't get posted here!  Just so everyone knows.   Sadly I had to fork out more $$ to buy a new thermostat.  Nest only last 5 years. So buyer beware.
