Last night the 3rd gen nest thermostat disconnected from the Wifi. We never had any warnings or error messages prior to that. I opened the app to turn down the heat and noticed it was disconnected. I have tried resetting it, resetting my wifi. I have tried deleting it from the app and adding it again. I have gone over the entire process with a tech from On Tech (they installed the thermostat for us). I tried charging the rechargeable batteries and reinstalling it. Nothing has worked. I purchased from the Google store but I cant submit a warranty claim because the thermostat is offline and doesn't show up as a device Ive bought. I need to get a replacement for this. Its barely been installed 3 months. We had another one for a year and a half in our previous house and had no issues.

Hello lmkerns76,
I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're facing with your Nest Thermostat. It seems like you've already tried several troubleshooting steps, including resetting the thermostat and your Wi-Fi and contacting On Tech for assistance. Since you purchased the thermostat from the Google Store, it's unfortunate that you're unable to submit a warranty claim due to the device being offline.
In situations like these, it might be worth trying a few additional steps before seeking a replacement. Double-check that your WiFi network is functioning properly and that there are no issues with other connected devices. If possible, try connecting the thermostat to a different WiFi network or via mobile hotspot to see if the issue persists.
If these steps don't resolve the problem, check for any possible power-related issues that cause the network to disconnect. Let us know the Technical Info settings and check for any message codes in their settings.
Keep me posted.
Best,
Mark
