Nest thermostat fan setting to stay on

EAG

I just installed the basic nest thermostat. I want my fan to run 24/7 but I only see an option for setting it on manually for 12 hrs. Is there a workaround to have the fan always run?

Hey EAG,

Thanks for reaching out and sorry for the delay here.

Forced-air systems run the fan whenever they’re heating or cooling. If your forced air system has a separate fan wire in your Nest thermostat’s G connector, you can run the system fan when it’s not heating or cooling. If not, your fan will only run automatically when your system is heating or cooling.

Also, if you have a system with a dedicated fan wire, you can manually turn on the fan with the app or your thermostat, or set a fan schedule. For example, you can set the fan to run all night and automatically turn off in the morning. Take a look at this link for more information about controlling your fan through your Nest thermostat.

Hope this helps.

@MelbaDT You didn't actually answer the question.

I see several posts on the same topic and you guys copy paste the same "answer".

We want to be able to run the unit' fan 24/7 with no interruptions (keep it on until WE THE USERS decide to turn it off). This is called energy efficient...
