Nest thermostat for property with two boilers?

ericthelobster

I'm looking at installing a Nest thermostat in a property which has a self-contained annexe. The annexe (new) has a two-zone underfloor wet central heating system with a gas combi boiler, and the main house (old) has single-zone wet central heating system (with standard radiators), warmed by a system gas boiler.
The plan is to really install a Nest in the annexe, which hopefully shouldn't be problematic? (Right?) However I just wondered whether while doing this, there was any way that I could also use it to control the main house as well, without installing an entirely separate system? Could it be treated as a 3rd zone?

Thanks

Each heating system will need it's own thermostat and so will each zone. It needs a thermostat to sense the temperature of the area being heated.

I think you wanted to use only 1 nest for the 2 zone system and the boiler system?

No that will not work.

Depending where you live the gas and electric companies usually have nest for under 20 bucks sometimes even free.
