Hello,
I installed a 3rd gen Nest UK thermostat only to find out it's common practice for them to read wrongly compared to another thermostat. I installed my new one right next to my old one and it reads 22c when the other one reads 20-20.5. So I read the temperature inside the wall behind the nest with a probe - 20c. I also have a carbon dioxide meter next to the nest on the same wall that reads 20c.
As I read more, I can see Google are blaming this on a wi-fi chip getting hotter with certain access points which sounds like nonsense to me and if it's true is a BAD design fault. Can you advise what type of AP’s cause this problem?? I can also see google closing threads of anyone complaining about this too much. To top it off the remote temp sensors are coded out not to work on the UK versions as far as I can see.
I would never have bought if I had known these things but its installed now.
Thanks Google for your underdeveloped overpriced product. Please move this product out of the previous decade with an update…
