Hi, my Nest link for my 3rd gen thermostat just died. No lights whatsoever… I’ve checked all power and the link unit is still receiving power at the terminals, just no lights and an H71 message on the thermostat. It’s not even 4 years old so I’m very disappointed. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Conor

It is very likely the electrical wiring base plate. I have had to replace two of them; I went to order more of them today - and they are no longer being manufactured by Google. This means that they don't have any replacement parts. My suggestion is to replace each one as they burn out and move to a Honeywell system; because, as I am quickly learning, Google does not care at all about the customers for this particular product line or family. Likely, because it just is not profitable in any way for them.

Hello @Conniepaa @DaryanDinDFW , thank you so much for all the details and usggestions provided.
@Conniepaa Can you tell us if any LED's come on when pressing the Heat Link button for 30 seconds?

Yes, I tried that and still no lights.

I reached out to Google support and after having a chat with them and giving some basic information they are providing a replacement unit free of charge. I just have to do an exchange. My device is about 4 years old and out of warranty but due to a known issue with the Heat link units, they are willing to replace mine. I’m delighted with that of course 🥳 It’s already on the way…

@Conniepaa That's great to hear. Is there anything else me or my colleagues can do for you?

Hi there, just checking in with you. Do you still need help?

I do, yes. I need to figure out where I can order the resistor base, per my other thread as well.

Me and my colleagues can only assist with matters relating to our products and services. We would not be able to advise on where to buy different components or parts, we only have full units available on the Google Store. If you have any further questions about those, make sure to let us know.
