If the thermostat has been disconnected from the Nest app and you don't have the PIN, the only option is to manually unlock the thermostat. Please follow these steps here:
- Remove the thermostat display from its base.
- Connect the display to a computer (Windows, macOS, or ChromeOS) using a USB cable.
- To confirm if the USB data cable works, plug in a different device (like a phone) and check if your computer recognizes it.
- Locate a folder named "Technicalinfo.PLIST" on your computer screen.
