I am not a technical professional but this is how I got my system up & running.
Thermostat displays says to shut down thermostat to recharge. Screen goes blank and won’t charge.
1. Most likely you are not getting power from HVAC system. First check Emergency Switch (es) for the system. If still a problem you can reset Circuit Breaker labeled either furnace or AC.
If still a problem you can call Google Nest Support. To get number.
The thermostat connects to the base through a mini- USB port. Pull thermostat straight back to disconnect from base. After charging for a few minutes the screen comes back on and you can go through setting to determine Google Live Support. 18442292208
