Hi everyone,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest community.

We're sorry for any trouble this may have caused you, @aduf1827. Let's see what's going on. When did the issue start to happen? And since you've already done a couple of troubleshooting steps, we need to check the recommended wifi settings. Some Wi-Fi network or router settings can affect the connectivity of our devices for security. What we normally suggest is the following:

  • Enable 802.11 b/g/n if you have an 802.11 ac router.
  • Set your Wi-Fi router's DHCP lease time to at least 2 hours.
  • Turn on your router's Power Save Mode (PSM), if you have a Nest thermostat.
  • Enable IPv6, if you have a Nest Protect.
  • On your Wi-Fi router, turn on multicast, if you're adding additional Nest devices.

Have a look at this article: Update Wi-Fi network and router settings for additional steps.

@Rrivman71, We have a replacement process, but we need to isolate the issue and perform troubleshooting steps to accurately identify the best resolution to fix the issue permanently. Please follow the steps I’ve provided above. Let me know what you’ve checked and done.

I look forward to your response.

Cheers,

Renz
