Nest thermostat 'not talking' to the boiler

Have the gen 3 learning thermostat. It is set up with a thermostat on the wall downstairs and a heat link in the upstairs cupboard where the cylinder is (its not a combi system)

Has been working on and off since Wednesday.  Came on fine this morning then went off 12pm, can't get it back on. Worcester heating engineer came yesterday and did full diagnostic on boiler, said boiler fine. Must be problem with Nest thermostat

Spoke to Boxt engineer over phone who installed system last Feb and he said try manual override by pressing button on heat link. 3green lights come on, thermostat on wall turns orange and green light comes on boiler but after 20 secs it goes off and no heating comes on and won't heat water either

Have reset both thermostat on wall and the heat link and still not working Getting fed up now

Boxt electrical dept don't work a Sunday apparently so I'm waiting for call back tomorrow which doesn't help me now. Any ideas please?

Hi

Thanks for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry to hear your Nest Thermostat 3rd gen is not talking to the boiler, but no need to worry; I'm happy to assist you right now.

Please help me out by answering the following questions:

  • What's the status of the Heat Link's LED light at this moment?
  • Has there been any recent work done on your thermostat(s) or heating system? If so, what kind of work was done?
  • Does the display show a water droplet?

Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.

Regards,

Gabriela
