Nest thermostat only blow cold air after factory reset

Teresa315

I just got a new router last night and accidentally did a factory rest on both of my thermostats. Now I can't get the heat to turn on and it's constatly blowing cold air. I have a gas furnace and I can't get my primary heating source to change to gas and not be electric. Help! It's freezing in my house!

Hi Teresa315,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. If you haven't yet, please try the steps below:

  1. Press the thermostat ring to bring up the Quick View menu.
  2. Select Settings Equipment. You’ll see all the wires currently connected to your thermostat.
  3. Continue. You’ll see a list of equipment attached to your thermostat.
  4. Choose Heat type, then select the type of heating you have.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Edward
