Nest thermostat room temperature wrong

Hi. My nest learning thermostat is always showing the room temperature at 2.5 degrees centigrade higher than the actual temperature of the room. I know this as I’ve got an another thermostat next to my nest. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Hi Ross77,

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Learning Thermostat reads higher temperature than the actual temperature of your room. Let' sort this out. A few questions:

  • Are you located in North America or Europe?
  • When was the thermostat installed?
  • Where did you install your thermostat? In a room and on a wall or stand?
  • Do you have other active Nest thermostats?
  • When did this start?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? If yes, would you mind listing them?

I'll look forward to your response.

Best,

Zoe
