Nest thermostat says “starting soon” but doesn’t

My nest thermostat says “starting soon” 

it will count down and I hear the unit start - but then it goes back to starting soon again.

I can’t get it to cool. 
It’s the regular nest  thermostat 

model G4CVZ

I am getting the same issue.

We are having the same issue. It will kick our fan on for about a minute then off and then countdown to the starting soon again.
