Nest thermostat schedule not activating or running

BrandiBT

I have a cooling schedule set for every day (same every day) on the app. I can control the thermostat with the app manually with no problem, but the schedule will not run. It keeps defaulting to a temp of 72F every night. Nowhere in the schedule is this temp. I don't understand how to get the schedule to run. I had it working last season by chance, but as soon as it was switched off for the cooler weather, this started happening again when it got switched back on.

The schedule has 4 settings at 4 times throughout the day, same every day. (Midnight=70F;  7am=76F;  11am=74F;  2pm=73F)

But every night around midnight the thermostat switches itself to 72F.

How can I tell it to run the actual schedule I have created?

Check that Presence Sensing (or Home/Away Assist, depending on your model) is turned off.  It's possible that the Nest believes you're not home and switches into Away mode or Eco mode.  And/or, program Away mode and your Eco temperature to be something you like better than 72.  If you turn off the "smart" features, the Nest should simply follow your schedule.

Hi folks,

@CBFox, thanks for the help!

@BrandiBT, how's it going with your Nest Thermostat? Still need our help?

@EdwardT @CBFox   I think I figured it out, but it's not written anywhere obvious.

My presence sensing is always turned off.

"Eco" temp can't be changed.

BUT this seems to fix it:

- I don't typically connect to my wifi. I use my mobile data because it is unlimited. I can control my whole house from the app, even if I am not connected to my wifi, but changing any settings do not take effect unless I change them and save them while connected to my wifi.  I did this, and now everything seems to be working on my schedule.
