Nest thermostat smart features

Seriously annoyed that we were not informed that the nest thermostat smart features were to be turned off. Why were customers not informed. This was a feature we used the whole time especially as my husband is disabled and we really needed to be able to control our heating remotely so as not to upset his health.

Hi @Lornajean58,

Thank you very much for contacting this community! I understand what you have been experiencing with your Nest Learning Thermostat (1st and 2 gen) and how necessary it is for you to be able to control it from the app due to your husband's condition, so that it does not affect his health as you mentioned.

However, I would like to share with you that it was previously announced that the Nest Learning Thermostat 1st and 2nd gen would no longer receive support starting on October 25th of this year. You can verify more about this announcement in the following article: Support changes to our earliest generation Nest Learning Thermostats.

Based on what was mentioned before, I would like to ask you the following questions in order to resolve this:

Please feel free to share any additional details you think might be relevant.

Best regards,
Eduardo
