I have a 2-zone, 2-stage HVAC system (Maytag) installed about 8 years ago, along with 2nd generation Nest thermostats. Recently, when I turn on the Nest thermostat, the compressor outside starts, but there’s no air inside the house. The thermostat starts at stage 2, turning blue, but still no air.
An HVAC technician inspected the system and couldn’t find anything wrong with the HVAC itself. He mentioned that both Nest thermostats might be faulty and even jump-started the system to stage 1.
Could you please assist with this issue?

Hello @SH1129
Thanks for reaching out to our Nest Community about this Nest thermostat. I apologize for all the inconvenience. I'm here to help you with that.
I completely understand this situation; unfortunately, the second generation is not more available on the Google Store to provide you with a possible replacement. The only recommendation I can give you is to buy a new thermostat to return the control to your system.
Feel free to keep us posted in case you have more questions. We are happy to find a solution for you.
Best regards,
Douglas.
