Nest thermostat stuck on CONTINUE SETUP IN THE GOOGLE HOME APP

Gali

Bought a new home with Nest already installed. There was a sign that there was no Wi-Fi so I tried to connect it but my app never found it. It said I had to factory reset and I did it, now it’s stuck on “Continue set up in the Google Home app” but my app doesn’t find it. It was working fine before the Wi-Fi thing

HELP PLEASE

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the trouble this may have caused you. I'd love to help.

Let's give these steps a whirl:

  1. Remove your Nest Thermostat display from its base then remove the batteries on it for at least 60 secs then put them back in.
  2. Go to your Google Home app to try adding your thermostat again. You can visit this support article for additional information on how to add your thermostat to the Google Home app.

Best,

Jenelyn

Thank you. I had to turn off my phone for 10 min and also took out the thermostat batteries. Then everything worked fine.
