Nest thermostat wiring connection issues to replace existing heater thermostat

I live in California.

The NEST online says that my thermostat should work.  The instructions as I follow along on the google home app, say I don't have the correct wiring setup.  What is next step?

Nest Thermostat

Thanks!

Hello John,

It seems like you're encountering a discrepancy between the Google Nest Thermostat help center information and the instructions on the Google Home app regarding your thermostat wiring setup. First, double-check the wiring to ensure accuracy, and make sure you've followed the instructions precisely.

If you're still facing issues, here are a few steps you can take:

  • Confirm that your thermostat is indeed compatible with your HVAC system. Review the specifications and requirements to ensure your setup meets the necessary criteria.
  • Share with us a photo of your old thermostat and Nest Thermostat's wiring setup. This would help us identify how we can label them.
  • Provide us with the make and model of your HVAC system.
  • Which type of Nest Thermostat do you have?

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,
Mark
