Nest thermostat

I have no cooling on my nest, only heat and fan . I only have 4 wires. Yellow blue white and red. I can’t find a wiring map that fits

Post a picture of the original thermostat's wiring

Your wiring is simple,

White - W to W

Yellow - Y to Y

Blue - G to G

Red - R to R (jumper not needed)

I would use that spare brown wire to create a C wire so you don't have problems down the road.

I still don’t see an icon for cooling on the nest thermostat

Do a factory reset

Nest Thermostat

Go to Settings and select Factory Reset 

. Your thermostat will ask you to confirm your choice. Once you’ve confirmed, your thermostat will take a few moments to restart or reset.

• this will remove all your personal settings. After resetting to defaults, you’ll need to set it up and add it to your home in the app again just like you did when you first installed it.
