Nest thermostat

I got the thermostat installed and everything seems to be fine. My only concern is that when I turn my heat on it will throw cool air for at least 40sec and then start the heat and it does this every time the thermostat kicks in to heat the house. Is it normal? This is my first thermostat swap sorry for the dumb question

Some furnaces work that way.  The fan and burner turn on simultaneously.  The air in your ducts is cool and it takes a little while for the warm air to reach your rooms.  It's a lot like turning on your hot water faucet in the sink.  You get cool water for a little bit until the warm water reaches the faucet.
