Nest thermostat

Hi,

my phone has lost contact with my thermostat, I’m trying to re- establish contact using Nest home app and it’s asking for 7 figure lock code,  my thermostat has only 6 figures, any ideas please as to how I get back to controlling stat from my phone?

2. Do you select the correct type of thermostat while you are trying to connect it on the app?
