Nest wire comparability

Identified all wires but my current system has two wires connected in a T. Which are for outdoor and indoor temp.  Are these still needed with this device?

To verify your systems' compatibility, could you tell us the make and model of your HVAC unit? Also, please send us a picture of your current thermostat wiring diagram so we can determine which wires you have.
